FAQs
What books will I need?
The Musician’s Launchpad will provide book materials and curriculum for students. Miscellaneous items such as a metronome or music stand can be purchased at local music stores or online.
I don’t have an instrument for my student, do I need to buy one?
If you are just getting started and do not have an instrument and aren’t ready to make an investment in an instrument just yet-you may rent one through our program if there is availability. Once you see how dedicated and passionate your child is about music, your instructor can offer gear recommendations.
What time do I arrive to my lesson?
Please arrive to the premises 5 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time. Your teacher will greet you to the studio when it is your turn.
I won’t be able to attend my lesson, can I make it up?
Due to the high volume of students, we are unable to make up lessons. However, if a staff member is unable to attend the lesson and a substitute is unavailable, a make-up lesson will be offered. (Please see Lesson Agreement.)
How often should I practice?
We strongly recommend setting a daily practice regiment of 30 minutes minimum.
Should I sit in on my child’s lesson?
Parents and siblings are always welcome to sit in during lessons so long there are no distractions to the student’s lesson. Parents/guardians and siblings may also sit in the lobby during lessons. If the student is waiting for a ride after their lesson, they will be instructed to remain in the lobby but will not be supervised as instructors may not be available. Please be prepared to have a ride for your student.
I’m ready to sign up! How much does it cost?
Please see the various programs we offer at Pricing and Programs.
