Sumiaya was born and raised in Richland, Washington. She has been studying classical piano since 2013, starting at the age of 10. Sumiaya enjoys teaching her students to foster a connection with their instrument and to discover their own musical abilities. Beyond playing, she is deeply invested in the local music scene.

In her free time, Sumiaya can often be found supporting and connecting with the bands within the community.
